The Clean Technology program invests in projects to adapt, develop and deploy innovative clean technologies to benefit Albertans and contribute to the growth of the province’s low-carbon economy.

The program is an important part of the transition to a new carbon future and circular economy and enables the participation of Alberta’s innovation community, urban and rural communities and industries throughout the value chain. The goals of the Bioenergy program are connected with the ARIF 2030 targets: 50% reduction in organic waste to landfill through innovative technologies; reduce methane emissions by 45% by 2025; attract an additional $3 billion private sector investment in value-added bioindustrial sector.
