The Food Innovation Challenge is a unique funding opportunity for Canadian food industry collaborators who want to spearhead transformative improvements that will propel the food sector forward and generate significant economic impact.
- Support collaborative, industry‑led projects that deliver transformative innovations across Canada’s food sector.
- Eligible project costs must total $1 M‑$4 M; CFIN reimburses up to 50 % (max $2 M). A non‑refundable project‑management fee of 5 % applies.
- Note: The Food Innovation Challenge will not run in 2025‑2026; future thematic calls and timelines will be announced
