Canadian Agricultural Partnership. Agricultural Awareness Program (NT)

CAP aims to help the NWT agriculture sector respond to future opportunities and to deal with challenges so that the NWT can become a productive and profitable sector of the Canadian economy. The focus of CAP is the development of a sustainable and innovative commercial agriculture, agri-food and agri-products sector in the Northwest Territories through market development, adaptability, building industry capacity, innovation and competitiveness. Cost-shared strategic investments under CAP will focus on creating greater capacity, efficiency and entrepreneurship.

  • The purpose of this program is to inform and promote the agriculture and agri-foods sector across the NWT, such as by providing information through public awareness and promotional activities to all residents about the benefits of local food production.
