Call for projects in support of the cultural offer in the educational path

The Ministry of Culture and Communications today launched the 4 th  Call for projects to support the cultural offer in the educational path, which runs until 1 st  October 2021.

With a budget of $ 2 million, this call for projects aims to increase and enrich the offer of cultural activities intended for young people in early childhood, preschool, elementary, secondary and college and contributes, between others, to support professional artists, writers and organizations wishing to submit a cultural activity project.

Since the launch of the first call for projects in August 2018, the Department has allocated a total budget of $ 7.5 million for the realization of more than 250 cultural projects across Quebec. This demonstrates the efforts made by the Ministry to offer young people rich and diverse cultural experiences, more precisely outside of school hours for projects carried out in schools.

Three specific objectives are pursued: offer young people the opportunity to discover, develop or deepen their interest in cultural activities in their educational path; support artists who wish to offer activities to targeted clientele; support professional organizations that wish to offer activities to targeted clientele; increase and diversify the cultural offer for students outside of school hours.

The purpose of this call for projects is to increase the offer of cultural activities for the young clientele outside school hours and to increase the participation of students in this type of activity.
