Call for innovation projects in artificial intelligence: industrial research in collaboration and support for entrepreneurship - Part 3: Large-scale innovation projects

This call for projects is aimed at all Quebec companies, primarily SMEs and startups, wishing to carry out an innovation project for the development and commercialization or adoption of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies. 

Part 3 is intended for business combinations comprising a minimum of two Quebec businesses. Eligible projects are structuring projects that demonstrate the potential for significant short-term spinoffs. 

This business combination must share the costs, benefits and intellectual property of the innovation project. For each eligible partner business, the project must provide for the hiring of at least one intern per year.

Goals

The objectives of the call for projects are as follows:

• Ensure the development and consolidation of innovation efforts in the field of AI.
• Encourage collaborations between companies (of all sizes, including startups) as well as with the research and innovation communities to accelerate the integration of artificial intelligence technologies in business communities and, through the does the same, in society.
• Support structuring projects aimed at the massive adoption of AI in one or more sectors of the economy
• Support the realization of projects leading to significant and immediate economic benefits
• Contribute to the positioning of Quebec as a leader in the development of AI.
