Building on the success of the first three calls for projects implemented since 2020, the Government of Quebec and the Government of Wales are launching this fourth call for projects. Given the importance of cultural and artistic organizations, both Quebec and Welsh, and their contribution to their respective societies, the cultural sector was added two years ago to the other targeted sectors.
Goals
The objectives pursued by this call for projects are as follows:
- Promoting sustainable development within each society.
- Encourage cooperation between research centers and researchers in targeted areas of interest to both parties.
- Promote cooperation in economic development in priority sectors of common interest.
- Support the achievements of the creative sectors to showcase our unique cultural heritage.
- Promote better mutual understanding by consolidating networks and sharing expertise.
Target sectors
This call for projects targets the following sectors:
Economy, science and innovation
- Decarbonization (clean energy, electrification of transport, recycling and circular economy)
- Life sciences (telemedicine, genomics, medical technologies, biotechnologies)
- Artificial intelligence and digital technologies
- Advanced materials and their manufacture, especially in aerospace
- Advanced agribusiness and agriculture ( agritech )
arts and culture
For the Art and Culture sector, we encourage, but are not limited to, projects in the following artistic disciplines:
- Audio-visual
- Literature and publishing
- Scenic arts
- Visual and digital arts
- Music
These can be reciprocal exchanges between artists and organizations, with the possibility of career or network development for each partner involved, co-productions or co-creations in which each partner is fully involved or even artistic co-direction projects , co-choreography, co-composition or co-production.
