Call for Bilateral Québec-Basque Country Cooperation Projects

This second call for projects, which stems from the memorandum of understanding signed in 2017 by the governments of Quebec and the Basque Country, reaffirms the desire of these two governments to strengthen and diversify collaboration between their respective civil societies. It aims in particular to encourage organizations, businesses and educational establishments to develop projects jointly with Basque partners in the sectors of culture, research and innovation or any other sector specified in the memorandum of understanding.

Target sectors

This call for projects targets these sectors:

• Culture
• Research and innovation

Any project related to one or other of the sectors highlighted in the  memorandum of understanding

 signed in 2017 between Quebec and the Basque Country may be considered.

The general objectives pursued by this call for projects are as follows:

• Strengthen exchanges between Quebec and the Spanish Basque Country by supporting the carrying out of structuring activities likely to generate direct spinoffs in sectors of mutual interest.
• Promote the establishment of lasting partnerships and networks between Quebec and the Basque Country.
• Encourage the exchange of expertise, experience and information as well as the development of markets in the targeted sectors.
• Promote the sustainable development of each society by taking into account the cultural, social, economic, environmental and/or territorial factors of the projects.
• Promote the digital development of organizations.
• Increase the international mobility of Quebec workers, young people, researchers, entrepreneurs and artists in the Basque Country.
