Open to both established and emerging artists of all ages, each year this iconic program recognizes excellence by awarding over 60 winners for original works in visual art, literary, French literary, music and media arts

Open to both established and emerging artists of all ages, each year this iconic program recognizes excellence by awarding over 60 winners for original works in visual art, literary, French literary, music and media artsThe Arts and Letters Awards Program
The Arts and Letters Awards Program was established in 1952 to encourage the creation of new works of art by residents of Newfoundland and Labrador. Open to both established and emerging artists of all ages, each year this iconic program recognizes excellence by awarding over 60 winners for original works in visual art, literary, French literary, and music. Winners receive a cash prize ($1,000 senior; $350 junior; $2,500 Percy Janes First Novel Award) and have the opportunity to participate in an annual exhibition at The Rooms.All entrants receive a written adjudication by request.
