This aims to accelerate the implementation of innovative water management technologies in municipal areas and to better support young entrepreneurs who wish to market their technologies in this key sector.
The Minister of Economy and Innovation and Minister responsible for Regional Economic Development, Mr. Pierre Fitzgibbon, made the announcement today.
The AquaEntrepreneur Québec program includes the following three components:
- creating acceleration services for companies that have developed innovative water technologies;
- the implementation, in collaboration with IVÉO, of local innovations in municipal settings throughout Quebec;
- dissemination of exemplary practices to stakeholders concerned by water management issues.
By 2025, the program plans to support 75 innovative companies in the water management sector and carry out 38 pilot projects to implement technologies in various municipalities in Quebec. To achieve these objectives, AquaAction will benefit from close collaborations, particularly with business incubators and accelerators as well as college and university partners.
The AquaEntrepreneur Québec program aims in particular to improve water management in Québec through the introduction, in municipal environments, of new technologies entirely developed in Québec and the integration of innovative Québec SMEs into supply chains. municipal public supply.
