As new and emerging crop development opportunities present themselves, New Brunswick must be prepared to evaluate the opportunity and where feasible, provide assistance to encourage initial production. As there is often a learning curve associated with new production, the first adopters encounter the highest risk. In addition, new production often require new technologies or technologies that are not available in New Brunswick. Assistance to increase the chance of success with these new and emerging crop opportunities will be beneficial.
