An age-friendly community is one where the physical and social environments enable older individuals to live in a secure setting, enjoy health and continue to participate fully in society. The Age-Friendly Newfoundland and Labrador (AFNL) Grants Program offers funding to incorporated municipalities, Indigenous governments and communities throughout the entire province to support them in planning for an aging population.
- Communities throughout the province are participating in the Age-Friendly Communities (AFC) Program to create a community dialogue that enhances our collective ability and responsibility to plan for an aging population.
